Hi,

For those of you who don't have a WatchTime subscription or an Omega Boutique nearby, you can at least get the e-version as of today. Please visit https://www.fratellowatches.com/downloads/speedy-tuesday-magazine/

The only thing we are asking for is leaving your name and email address (no, we don't give them to third parties! instead, we keep you posted on upcoming [Speedmaster] events etc.).

Best,

RJ
Thanks RJ, just downloaded and as it's going to be raining this afternoon I'll enjoy reading it.

Superb magazine... Congrats to FratelloWatches !!!
Just a small remark, on page 87... Thomas Stafford only wore his gold SpeedyPro during ASTP-training...
As far as I know, and I've checked hundreds of NASA photos, none of these Gold SpeedyPro chronographs ever flew in space 馃槖
...
Looking forward to the second issue as 2018 will be another year full of Speedy ( & spaceflight) related commemorations...

Dont worry about Omega shops....Get the Jehovah's Witnesses on the case.馃憤 When it comes to dishing out massive amounts of printed stuff on an international scale those guys are unmatched! Send them the Speedy Tuesday mags... they'll get them delivered anywhere on the planet!
You'll here 'knock knock'... you open the door, and two old ladies in raincoats will say "Hello we've brought your Speedy Tuesday Magazine!... can we come back next week with another?馃榿
@nonuffinkbloke Answer the door, with yer knackers hanging out yer Boxers after you've been on the p!ss for two weeks. They don't hang round and they don't come back.
@Robert-Jan downloaded the e-version and that is a truly outstanding effort. It must be even more impressive in print. I can genuinely say the last time I got that excited I paid by the hour.

Actually @nonuffinkbloke was kind enough to give me the secret "begone!" words to use when they came to my door, and it seems to have worked. 馃憤

I just signed up for a 6 month (3 issues) trial subscription to Watchtime just to get a paper copy the Speedy Tuesday Magazine. I also filled out a form at the OB so I might get a copy mailed to me because they claimed they didn't have any on-hand.

Will they still send it out if you subscribe now? Ive been thinking about it anyway but that would make me pull the trigger.

I'm not sure but I was counting on it when I subscribed. I was assuming the Speedy mag would ship with the Sept/Oct Watchtime issue, but maybe it ships separately? I thought about calling in my subscription and asking, but wound up doing it online when I saw that a shorter trial subscription was available.

I received word that the Watchtime mailing list for the Speedy Tuesday Magazine has already been completed and fulfilled so i will not be receiving the magazine that way. 馃檨

Kind of figured that...you know with the way they pissed people off by screwing the entire US west coast during the ST launch you'd think a heads up to subscribe to watchtime to get the magazine would have been a nice consolation. Now if your 400 miles from an OB your screwed. I've call two myself and told there were out...I'm sure if I were in the OB buying a watch that would be a different story...not that I can blame them for that. They're not the USPS there to send out free magazines to non customers of their boutique. Oh well...

I'm surprised you didn't get the email saying you would get a copy of the Speedy Magazine as a consolation for waiting to hear about "amended orders" for the ST watch. For some reason, I received the email, but I'm not counting on getting a copy since I never got on the ST list so they don't have my address.

My OB said they didn't have any magazines but never said that they had ever had any so they took my contact information to see if they could have one mailed to me. I suspect they just wanted my information to send me marketing stuff.

The magazine might be a one-off occasion but it looks like there'll be a number two whenever there'll be news on the Speedmaster...
There's lots of interest in the wonderful concept and I think most of us would pay for a subscription 馃憥
Seems like writing is a lot of work, but the editor knows this forum and could easily get Forum members to write an article about their personal watch, the use of the Speedmaster for their job, its history in military + spaceflight + aviation, etc... Lots of stuff to fill a (digital) magazine.
Proofreading is also important (Page 71 : Apollo 8 astronauts weren't the first to see the Dark Side of the Moon... but the backside of the Moon )
Just my five cents 馃摉
