de gustibus non est disputandum... and indeed Omega has been using British horologist George Daniels coaxial solution for lower friction and less lubrification since 1999... so we expect a " 25th anniversary " by 2024
.
Hey, look at that tie!!!!!!!!!!!

See I like it how Omega makes something outside the square (of us squares here.)
This is a screaming Japanese motorcycle riders watch. Someone that goes into a Boutique and picks the watch he likes not the weird blokes on watch forums he will never visit in his wildest dreams.

Speedy racings have always been the outlying fringe watch that the purists didn't like so I can see the same here.

Not for me but not going to dis it...think the package has some good attributes. The honeycomb dial is good, wouldn't mind it in a non chronograph

Interesting watch. The accuracy claimed represents a pretty high standard, indicative of extremely tight quality controls. Years ago, Grand Seiko produced VFA (very fine adjusted) models. I think the 61GS Special was + or -3 S/D in 1970.

At any rate, I’m trying to understand how Omega’s system here differs from index regulation. It looks like Omega simply found a way to use index regulation on a silicon hairspring—which is still impressive. This is the first time I can recall anyone using index regulation with a silicon hairspring, so perhaps the material presents some serious technical challenges. Not attempting to rain on Omega’s parade. I’m just curious.

Watch presentation at Omega... I saw a room full of " Influencers " 😁

No one in that same room has influenced Me….Ever…

You seem to have an Influencer/social media issue showing lately mate. Need a hug. 😉 Seriously
( I’m all for anyone having an opinion and voicing it….start a thread and let at it. Snarky comment in several threads isn’t you and hasn’t been you )

Haven’t gotten my sticky fingers on one yet, but I think it’s a real honey of a dial, sure to generate a lot of buzz. Perhaps when ADs get inventory a discount could take the sting out of the price. Sure to be a daily wearer and not a safe queen. Guess I’m droning on now.

This new Omega release is not only about a new Speedmaster but also about pushing boundaries in terms of accuracy. Meet the Omega Speedmaster Super Racing 329.30.44.51.01.003, featuring the new Spirate System. This watch is a visual tribute to the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra “Bumblebee” (the black and yellow version) introduced exactly 10 years ago, […]

I saw what you did there .. 😁, For me personally the Speedmaster Racing is a completely different Speedmaster. One that deserves to be in a collection along side with the Pro and in the spirit of the Racing, I think that watch is a killer, technological bleeding edge 😀.. only problem for me is the seconds hand which is extremely invisible for me ...

Bee that as it may, there’s lots of budding interest in this watch.

44 is just too big. I was hoping we were moving away from this trend. I don't know why I was hoping it, but I was.
