What kind of gigolo watch is this...?
No, it's a Gents... but, you're right, must be a few gigolos among the gents.

If I didn’t know better, you could have told me that ad was in a Playboy magazine from 1978 and I would have believed you.

The font, the colors, the layout, the watch...just blech.

Introducing Generation Blech?

Not my cuppa. Strongly prefer the Globemaster as a dressy.sporty option. Although my brother who lives in HK says he sees a ton of these.

With the exception of the Globemaster, which I like (other than the annual calendar model), it's just odd that Omega can't seem to get the Constellation right when they've been on a roll with other lines. The vintage Connies are so attractive. The contemporary ones, ugh.

"...no one uses the term, gents, unless referring to the men's restroom in a bar or restaurant...
Thanks, kinda what I thought. I do know that "gents" to Brits sounds simply "naff" 🤮 and almost by definition the thing that a gentleman would never call himself. And in England, these class-defining details matter, often nearly too much.
Probably going to need to take it up with Omega, because, believe it or not, "Gents" is what Omega is calling the collection and WatchTime didn't miss anything.
Oh, that's not good. This is exactly why even a cultured multilingual person or organisation should never assume they mastered someone else's mother tongue.
🤦
Non-anglophone companies pay a lot - if they are wise - to ensure they don't suffer any damage from these subleties,
🤦🤦
I guess they were advised by the same agency that told GM "Nova" would be a great name for a small car for the Spanish-speaking world...

They've done the research: Omega's demographic is men who were 14 in 1978!

A kind and gentle one. Don't turn into anything different.
