I am glad you were able to return it. That was the right choice. I am still pretty new to this, but that watch was not a good redial. I suggest that you either ask the forum for advise before your next purchase, or buy from the sales forum here. I think that you will be able to find something much nicer for $700.

For example the most recent watch posted on the Private Watch Sales thread is many times nicer from a collector's point of view. Of course each person has their own tastes but this would be a great first vintage Omega. It is freshly serviced and good to go. Again, this is just one example of many great watches listed by members here.
