    Dear Omega friends,

Some of you already know me, others may not. I'm the founder of Watches and Pencils, THE monthly cartoon / illustration for watch geeks on Fratello Watches/Instagram. Cartoons about watch brands as Omega and watch related matters. As an example:

I like to use input from watch lovers like you. Could be anything. A specific watch related term (e.g. 'desk diver') or a watch you would like to see a cartoon of. Mainly via comments/private messages on Instagram I am able to create cartoons especially for people like you and me. Of course, sending me a message via Omega Forums is also possible.

To follow everything around Watches and Pencils I've set up an Instagram account. Here you can follow the whole progress, newest cartoons, post ideas and comment on my creations:
    https://www.instagram.com/watchesandpencils/

I would like to hear from you!

Every month a new cartoon is being released on Fratello Watches:

    Kind regards,
    Teun

    Teun

    Great work by the way!

I like your "desk diver" idea, to expand how about a feature on the various "subtribes" or types of people within our hobby e.g, the Seiko Boy, the desk diver, the Space Freak, the dealer, Speedmaster Specialist, mil Watch fanatic, the one Watch wonder etc.

Oh and Do you Take commissions by any chance?

    Best regards

    Nathan

Hi Teun, I really enjoy your work and make sure to catch each addition when they pop up on Fratello!

I can envision some fun options for cartoons using watch world terminology such as sunburst dial, twisted lugs vs straight lugs, flyback chronograph, etc...

How about using common overdone questions within the WIS community such as "Is this watch too big for me?" or "Is it safe to wear my watch while [insert mundane activity here]"

    Hi Teun, love your work.

I think there's some fodder in the search for the 'grail.' Are we all Indiana Joneses? At least as handsome that's for sure.

Arm hair is another topic ripe for a laugh.

    Happy drawing!

I already did a few of them. They were fun. It's important that most people actually know the alias. Some countries have nicknames in their own language and I'm trying to keep things international. An example of a famous nickname which I released some time ago is the Omega 'Darth Vader'.

Can you name a specific model?
    Thanks for your input

    Oh awesome!
Some other ideas would be for example someone diving, and when the depth reaches 91,44m (50 fathoms) a watch pops on his wrist?

Something about vortices (translated to tourbillon in French)

    Daily beaters
Summer watch, (watch in a bikini sunbathing on a beach?) I am not sure why there are summer watches. I wear mine all year round.
    Nato straps

See I have been giving it some thought :)

    :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Always found the odd names that are given to Rolex watches and dials could be a source for satire, ie: the spider dial, the tropical dial, the starburst dial, The Sophia Loren, the pepsi, the coke, rootbeer, hulk, kermit, batman, smurf, bubble back, and if you're brave The Pussy Galore, etc...

Have fun and I'll follow on IG.
