Input needed on limited edition moonwatches

Dear all,

i’ve recently been pulled into the black hole of watch collecting. Never wanted this to happen, but i’ve decided to go with the flow 😉

Apologies in advance if there is already such a thread, but couldn’t find it via the search function.

As a beginner, it’s sometimes difficult to understand where to start. I bought some good books, but would still like to get your inputs.
So here it goes: If you would have to choose one limited edition moonwatch, which one would it be and why?

Let the games begin!

Cheer and thanks in advance!

I’m not a LE kind of guy. But if I was to splurge, I’d probably go for the Apollo 17 45th anniversary.

Best of luck... 😉

Edit: Take your time and look at the models and follow what sings to you, in all honesty that's the best approach... and a hefty bank balance.

For me, as I also only recently got into watches myself and going down the rabbit hole, I've started with the latest 3861 Speedmaster models

Why this one over others?

I love the blue dial with gold accents, and the racing style markers. Just comes together beautifully.

Apollo Soyuz 35th and nothing comes close to it... reverse panda is my favorite chrono dial configuration, and use of meteorite dial is unique for each of 1975 limited models so you can say that every owner have a piece unique...

I tried to choose just one...not really. It just doesn't work that way.

This is my first Limited Edition Speedmaster. Also known as the Gemini IV or more commonly called the Best Ever Limited Edition Speedmaster. I bought this 6+ years ago.

An unusual choice, but I agree it’s a really nice and discreet one (and I’ve got one)!

Yea it seems to be an unpopular choice, but I’m not quite sure why.

I don’t dislike it, but the dial is a bit too busy for me
