Just read the thread on Jesse- yeah, don’t send it back to him.

This thread is about watchmakers in the Balt/Dc area, haven’t used any myself yet.

While researching online I came across an article from someone on this forum that had their PPF Seamaster serviced by Jesse. They had nothing but rave reviews on the work performed, which is why I went this route. Not sure what has changed since then but I will not be sending anything back to him and will be asking for a partial refund since it is not working properly. Thanks for the link I will check it out!

I contacted Jesse about my issues and he immediately replied (text) that he had not wound it for a week and was probably in need of winding. I wound it 30 times and it started to run. We will see how long it lasts. I will tell you this, it is a lot harder to photograph since it is a lot shinier. Looking back I really wish my father would have swapped bracelets and worn it, such a "gentleman's watch"; he was a true gentleman. Chivalry was not lost on him. Yeah, missing my dad.

Well after waiting months for my watch I could not wait to wear it. Now it will randomly stop, even after wearing it all day!

If you wear it all day and are reasonably active, then it should last for a day and a half before stopping. That assumes you gave it twenty or so winds when you first picked it up if it was stopped.

Wind it 60 times and leave it face up on the desk. See how long the power reserve is. 30 times may not be enough to achieve full reserve.

It's a lovely memento and it will all work out in the end.

Cheers, Chris
