Looks like a gold plated 1960s Omega Geneve, probably a caliber 600 or a close cousin.

For more specific information you would need to see inside the watch.

Never thought of taking a pic of the inside. Its a little rough as it was my dads, who was a mechanic and he never took it off. I've no intention of selling, but do you know if its valuable or rare. Thanks in advance

It's a handsome watch, probably not particularly valuable or rare. Looks like it's had some water ingress. Please post a pic of the inside of the caseback.

If this were mine, I would find a local, competent, independent watchmaker, and have it serviced.

To be completely honest, I'm not to worried about how it looks, its just like it was when my dad had it and don't plan on selling it. Was more interested in how much it would have been new and how much its worth now, very curious as never got the information of my dad. Really appreciate your help.

You have a gold plated Omega Geneve model 131.019. Several service marks indicate your dad took care of this watch.

I would have it serviced due to the rust on the movement and instruct the watchmaker not to polish the case or touch the dial. I would have the watchmaker polish or replace the crystal.

Serial number on the movement between 27,000,000 - 27,999,999 indicates a production year of 1968

Wow, thank you for the info. Now that you put it that way, I shall take it to a specialist as I want it to survive for my boys to have.
