Good day, I recently inherited this Omega Seamaster. I am very new to the watch world and I can't seem to find any information on this particular Seamaster. Can you please help?

Somebody attempted to clean the dial and accidentally erased all the printing. If you want more information, we will need to see the inside.

Please provide us with some nice pictures of the movement numbers (caliber and serial number) and the inside of the case back. that will make things a lot easier. Unfortunately Dan is right, the dial was more or less erased at some point in its moved live. If its a family piece like that, you might want to keep it as such. Or maybe, if you know what the watch number is, you might want to find a nice original dial that fits so you can wear it the way it originally left the Omega factory somewhere around the 60ies I think.
You can still keep the dial to the watch as part of its history.

Cheers,
Tom

Good day Tom and Dan. I took photos of the movement as well as the caseback.

On the movement: 1. 18450325
2. 268

On the caseback: 14389-61-CSP

(I hope the photos are of enough quality for you to see)

Regards

Except for the dial which may have been wet at one point, the rest of the watch looks okay. Serial number would seem to date it circa 1961\62. The hands are replacements, likely because the originals were destroyed. It would not be considered very collectible, given the obvious deterioration, and the crude numbers on the case back. But competently serviced, it could be a very reliable sentimental piece.
