Hey All, its nice to be back in Omega land. I just picked up a brand new Speedmaster Professional Hesalite.

Love it, its quite perfect. I do have a question for the forum. Does the flat link bracelet from the Apollo 11 50th Anniversary fit the standard Speedy? my dealer can get me one, and I love the look of that over the stock bracelet.

looks great on that strap. I picked up a Speedy Tuesday style brown leather strap, so I will likely put that strap on it when it arrives. I had a FOIS a few years ago, but always regretted selling it.

 

Seems possible using thinner springbars or some modification but doesn't seem like a perfect fit.

I think the bracelet you speak of is a modern re creation of the original 1506 bracelet. I'd be interested to know if it fits as well. Did your dealer indicate the price for the bracelet and clasp? Oh, and by the way, congratulations.

 

It seems the price was about $800 for the bracelet and clasp, which isn't bad.

 

Yep, not bad at all, thought it'd be around $1200. Keep us posted on fitment.

I haven't a clue whether the anniversary bracelet will fit on the modern 005 ref. I'd be cautious about using different spring bars in terms of diameter, but there are those here with more authority to help you on this point.

I've said it before in other places here and I'll say it again because I'm feeling it right in the feelz: every time I see a Speedmaster I just love to stare at it for a while and lose myself in how perfect it is. Sometimes I can't believe I have one. Something about it just checks all my boxes.

Thank you, it was a fun Lego set to build, definitely a good way to pass the time during quarantine, would recommend for anyone who is interested space.

I will keep that in mind, idk if it does either, I figure being the same case(or so it seems) it should fit, but who knows. I wouldnt use different spring bars, if it didnt fit with the standard, I wouldnt use it or get it. I used the spring bars from the bracelet with the leather strap.

I would agree regarding Speedmasters, I used to be more of a Seamaster fan, still love them, however recently I have just been mesmerized by all things Speedy, I want a few Speedys now.
