I really wanted to help Jim out @ Continental Jewelers, by purchasing a watch from his inventory before he shuts down next Month.

I was just going to go cheap, and called him up last week about the previous model grey dial AT Quartz on his and my list, but it was gone (I've bought and returned two opaline teak dialed watches because grey just looks better). The ladies watch for my wife was also already sold. But I still had a couple left on my wish list. No Pitch Black, sorry.

Just out of curiosity I asked about another watch that I'd had my eye on for a while and had been trying on at the Denver OB, and the price was more than I had planned to spend but too good to pass up. I saved over $4,000 vs the OB price! He's a good salesman and almost got me to do a package deal for the Ti X-33 Speedmaster for my son too. Sigh...

So, here is it. My new Ti PO 9300 LM, in all it's glory, with full 4-yr Omega warranty and all boxes, cards, and hang tag (still the old red leather box). It's a big watch, but it suits me because I'm not tiny either.

I immediately swapped it to a dark blue ISOFRANE rubber strap, although the Omega blue rubber strap with Ti folding clasp would be nicer than this one. I initially wanted to preserve the Ti bracelet which costs $2,100 to replace at the OB. But the ISOFRANE squeezes the sides of my wrist a little bit more than I'd like, and I wonder if it only needs to break in. Just to check the comfort, I put it back on bracelet for a few more photos, minus 2 links, and I may leave it like this until I get the Omega rubber strap for it.

That's a fantastic watch and one I've tried on a couple times now. Does Jim have a list anywhere of his current inventory with pricing? I tracked down his website but there is no information on it at all regarding Omega selection he has in inventory.

I got a PDF list from Father John, but it's now out of date. PM me your email and I can still send it to you.

    That is a BEAST!

I can personally vouch for comfort of the Omega blue rubber strap with Deployant

Why doesn't it have matching sub-dial hands ?

    Beautiful nonetheless.

There are 3 separate sub dial hands. Perfect there

The orange is covering the same type you see at 9 o'clock

    Congrats!

My PO came from him last Fall, and was my first Omega purchase. I'm local, so I was able to visit his shop. The watches were all in a walk-in safe behind the jewelry counters, so no nice display counter to allowing viewing many different watches at once. You really need to have the model #s in-hand, and he'll bring them out one or two at a time, still in their full factory packages. He was a nice person to do business with, and his pricing was good as well. More then a GM dealer like Jomashop, but with full factory warranty and personal service it was well worth the extra.

On rare occasion. He does not stock anything too much at this time and as stated he is shutting down. Jim was a long time Omega AD going back to the Norman Morris days of Omega. He is in his 80's now.

Why do I have this uncontrollable urge to want to order the Omega rubber strap with the folding clasp?

Well, it appears the OB closed early due to bad weather in Denver. I'll have to call them back later...
