Just took this yesterday from my local AD, and oh my god, what a gorgeous watch it is!

It was an initial choice of between the Speedy Moonphase, BR-01 skeleton (a really nice watch), and this. The SMP came late into the game when wife and I were at the OB to have a look. They had this on the yellow gold there, and the entire country was out of stock for the Sedna gold version.

Went home, and the SMP kept creeping back into my head, especially googling all the pictures of the Sedna gold on black strap. Called my AD up and she checked and came back saying the supplier has 2 incoming, and one was spoken for, so had to make a quick decision to book this one. NO REGRETS.

Picked it up yesterday evening, and spent about 30 minutes trying to wipe off a few stubborn specks of dust - I started to think that it was a flaw in the crystal, until I moved to another location in the AD with different lighting, and suddenly, crystal clear! This watch is so shiny and reflective, wow.

Do you ever stop staring at your watch? Not for me, yet..

Beautiful piece -- congrats. I make do with the humble steel/black dial variant but it, too, is shiny in all the right places.

You talk about shiny and reflective...I caught this the other day...you can even see the reflection in each of the hour markers around the watch dial. Crazy.

I think it looks great without red accents on the text and second hand. Super cool piece, congrats!

Definitely agree. The sedna gold without the red makes it super classy looking. While the red on the black and blue makes them a bit sportier looking I would say. Never really noticed that the red was missing...perhaps because the look of the black and sedna clicks so well together. It definitely doesn't need it!

Congratulations, that is a beautiful piece! I would be interested in how durable the sedna bezel turns out to be in terms of picking up dings and scratches. I have a GSOTM with sedna bezel and partly because the watch stands so high on the wrist and partly because of the delicate edge of the speedmaster bezel I am so afraid of dinging it that I hardly wear it.

I just picked up the SMP White yesterday! Wear yours in good health!

Excellent taste there, sir! I chose this one for my first omega about a year back and I’m still nuts about it.

That's an astonishing photo. Yet even with all that shine the watch remains legible in virtually all light conditions I've worn it in, which was one of my concerns before I bought it.

I genuinely think Omega have nailed this model - every dial looks insanely good. The black no date on a rubber strap is my favourite. This two tone is just unreal and I could see this topping my favourite combo, the more I see it.

this could definitely be my one watch collection. I’d be a happy person.

I like the fact that they’ve almost gone back to the 2254 size font on the bezel.
