    Yes some of the manual winds I believe came with longer than expected hands including some manual wind seamasters but in those instances, aesthetically, the hands look nice probably because they were usually pretty thin. In this instance though the hands being too long and thick at least to my eyes look out of place and I think the watch would look even more stunning with shorter dauphine hands.

    Hands do wear at the sleeve and gold hands being made of a relatively soft metal will wear sooner than rhodium coated steel.

    I'm with Mike on this, and I can't see that pie pan Seamasters would have different standard. Never-the-less, that is one amazing piece you have there! Congratulations.

    You may be right, are the shorter hands easily sourced? They're all 18K gold right

    Fairly easily sourced but not in 18k gold. You have to get the right length though.
