Hi I'm very excited - I just purchased a one owner 1969 Omega Seamaster 200 Poppy dial. It appears to be in fantastic condition given it's age. I can't wait to see it in person. Here is a quick pic, I'll upload more once I take possession I know that the Seamaster 200 is a rare watch. It hosts the 565 calibre as it's heart. The Poppy dial in particular is said to be more scarce than the original Ploprof and the Seamaster 200 Banana dialed version. I've read that quite a few were destroyed / damaged because owners failed to fully screw the crown in causing leaks. (thanks to Derek Dier at WatchesToBuy.com for most of this info) Question for our Omega experts: Can someone tell me how many of these Poppy dialed SM200's were made? I can't seem to find much information on the web about their production numbers. Thanks
Lovely, nice catch! Not sure what you mean that it's the only watch that used cal 565. Lots of models used that, the Seamaster 300 for instance. Very nice movement.
Thank you. I may be mistaken but I'm pretty sure the SM300 uses 552 as its movement. My SM300 from 1966 has a 552.
