Spotted. The rest of the watch looked honest enough that I think it just needs a good service... a bit of rotor rub on a 50 year old watch I can go with. Think this is a sock drawer/someone's uncle died, and they put it on eBay watch.
Where is Jan, by the way? I saw that George.A bought his stock and he hasn't replied to my email from last week.
I can confirm he is on vacation, I had a custom order made right before he took off about 2 weeks ago.
What causes this? Reason I'm asking is the omega I have apparently has the same problem that was spotted in pictures I posted. I'm a newbie and didn't catch it. Anyway it's now being serviced so I'll know more about it's condition soon.
I'd take a punt on the bearing that the rotor (for the automatic element of the watch), having worn. And Welcome! Now go add a picture for your avatar!
Nice work. Having just spoken to Simon at STS (who is lurking) - he points out that it is most likely that something got trapped under the rotor, and dragged, be it a screen, or a pice of swarm, or some dirt - as for the rotor to hit the bridge there, the outer edges of the rotor would have to bend space, and time, and pass through the movement.
Well. All will be set to right soon. Service includes a complete tear down and replacement of any worn parts.
