Nice but has the watch been polished? It looks like the case has lost what should be nice sharp edges.
I need to adjust the bracelet first to make it it comfortable. I agree with you, it is actually lighter and more comfortable than I expect. Somehow Seamaster Chrono feels heavier than this.
Yes Mike, I notice that, too. I am weighing between this and the other one with nice case but worse dial. At last I chose the dial.
Respectable Member Privateday7 Congratulations! I think your dear baby looks healthy enough. To get this model reference with superb dial and an unpolished case, it will cost you an arm and a leg, I reckon. Thank-you.
Hi all These Flightmaster are timeless ... The first edition was ST 145.013 with the calibre 910 and the 24h sub dial on 9. They had a Plexiglas and that is concave. Available with the orange and the yellow hands. It is said that the yellow was needed for the pilots of the Concorde. The red light in the cockpit makes an orange one unreadable for the pilots... Yours is the second edition ST 145.036 with the calibre 911 (I'm always thinking "Porsche") The sub dial on 9 shows the running 60 second and the glass is a flat mineral. Available in orange and yellow. They are called by there calibre - so you have 911 - and ... ... I have two 910 The back is always the same And - here - !!! A very early dial - only a few exist - without the two dot's at 12 !!! As it is shown on the old adverts - and on their very special own FM-Box BTW : The blue hand is for an extra time zone Have fun with this extraordinary watch !
Dear Jaguar, Most of articles and books about Omega vintage always mentioned Flightmaster along with Speedmaster moonwatch, Constellation pie pan, Seamaster 300 and Ploprof. It's almost like Omega icon of the 70's.
Dear respectable member Seamonster. Thank you, yes the price of the perfect example is too high for my budget now. I reckon I am at least 8 years late in entering this Omega collecting game.
