    @rogart I blame you for this. ;)

Red date wheel in alignment with the red background of the Ω symbol on a balanced blue dial inside a funky 70's case...... so much to love, and then comes the whole battery thing. :(

    J/K!!!!

    ....... sort of..... :p

    Very welcome to :)

Haha. I know, I know. This one was at least a more considered purchase that some of mine, I've been watching it on Chrono24 for the last year... thought I'd pop Max a cheeky Friday afternoon offer and he went for it.

I figure if I'm going to have one of these, it should be in this sort of condition... with original Sharkskin strap.

Love the blue dial. Amazing condition. Do share the wrist shots.

Was this model ever offered on a steel bracelet?

Looks to have the original crystal seal, and the green/blue gunk in the case back screws.

I think @Tom Dick has one on the bracelet.

Will do as soon as I have it. :)

Very nice case but I don't think that's the original strap, that N. 27 clasp came later, no? Besides the NOS 1300 I got a few years ago came on a thin leather strap with a standard Omega buckle. I replaced it by the bracelet but I must still have it somewhere.

Why is the crown on the left side?

    Left handed watch?

Not sure to be honest. I seem to remember a post about Omega being so sure of the watch's accuracy that it would not need adjusting, so they put the crown on the left. I can't find that post now... But it was probably one of @Tom Dick 's. :)

This type of strap/buckle was offered on both these, and the MQ from what I have seen. Some NOS ones on eBay at the moment.

That buckle is also used on the Chronostop which was in production from 1968.

I'm happy with it either way. ;)

Looking very nice. That is a wicked watch . Would love a strap and buckle on mine. But i only came with a ordinary omega buckle. Maybe three versions then? A nice better looking strap would do nice on my watch. Where would one find such straps?
Love this and the sound they make when putting your ear to the watch. HUUUUUMMMMMM x 2

Good point about the Chronostop, wasn't it a mesh though? Will do some trawling tomorrow, always something to look forward to ;-)

Leather too. In 18mm and 22mm. Both with the 27 buckle. :)
