Thanks, definitely going to give this a listen. I'm currently also watching the "From the Earth to the Moon" series, which I highly recommend to anybody interested in the Apollo programme.
If you want to live something of the tension of the Apollo 11 moon landing and see some of the parameters visually represented as well as hearing the comms, you'd be hard pushed to beat this: https://www.firstmenonthemoon.com/
That's outstanding, thanks. Ties great in with the podcasts. More evidence against my idiotic brother-in-law who thinks it was all a conspiracy and it never happened.
While Apollo 11 is the historical Moon landing, my favorite Apollo mission is "Lucky 13." Having met Jim Lovell I may be biased. But the problems they overcame to get home safely showed the true brilliance and dogged determination of everyone at NASA, not just the astronauts.
This is a superb production and a must-listen for space geeks. Regrettably I stumbled upon the podcast series a few days after the July 20th anniversary (and binge-listened to every episode during a long road trip) -- it would have been more interesting and exciting, listening to the episodes over the months leading up to the anniversary.
