Good afternoon, folks: Your wisdom has served me well in the past, for I am now a proud owner of an Omega Seamaster DeVille; it's absolutely wonderful. Now, I have been bitten by the Longines bug, and I am looking to purchase this watch. However, something seems a bit off. For one, the "Swiss Made" or "Swiss" imprint is missing--although I have seen many "Jumbos" that had such an omission--and the inner sweep second seems too far from the hour markers; most Conquests I've seen have the sweep second closer. Secondary, the "automatic" font looks a bit off, but that could just be the camera angle. Please, let me know your thoughts on anything that seems amiss. Regards, Chris
The dial should look like on this correct but overpriced example: http://www.ebay.de/itm/LONGINES-CON...853770?hash=item1ebc8507ca:g:Th0AAOSwj85YNqDZPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Yes, Yako54. That's what I've been seeing, too. The second sweep hands were a lot closer to the hour markers than the one I was considering. Thanks, all! CM
Honestly guys and gals, you don't have to do such an in depth study of what's wrong. The first step of the chart is simple and ends all discussion: So as you can see, a redial makes all other points moot. ONLY if you're experienced should you EVER deviate from this procedure. EVER!!!
