·No import duty on watches in UK but you do pay 20% VAT plus a small custom's agent fee if importing...
it sounds a lot but even with the VAT added it can be worthwhile... especially on discontinued models.
My new Railmaster (blue on ss bracelet) direct from Japan, was about half the UK RRP, it's a superb and discreet daily wear which the watch muggers in London are not interested in (unlike any Rolex)
