Love my little view.
Only benefit of being an old man with a weak bladder is having to stand here every five minutes.

Grace Cathedral. San Francisco. A really interesting blend of gothic and modern architecture.
Surprised to see the Union Jack hanging there 😀

It’s an episcopal cathedral. Love for the whole world and the flags are lining the hall. Maybe every country but I can’t tell for sure.

Erm, what is the pile in the foreground made of? Is it about recycling?

Definitely the sentiment we want, so thanks for posting. May reason, moderation, and kindness prevail in the end, even though they are having a very tough time at present.

Glorious...

Yes, agreed. But also (apologies for very quick thread-drift) the sanctioning authorities have a lot of explaining to do. Anyone who's ever seen AJ (or anyone else of that standard) will be relieved Jakey-boy came through fairly intact...

Jake FAFO'd and I'm okay with that. He wasn't apparently able to bribe this fighter into taking a dive, or to not throw real punches like the rest of his fights. From what I have read, the doctors likely won't allow him to fight again due to the plates he now has in 2 locations where his jaw was broken - my understanding is that sort of implant in those locations pretty much ends a boxing career, such as it was.

Other than that, boxing (a dying sport in a lot of ways) got a lot of attention through these fights that it otherwise would not have, and people made a lot of money. Whatever sanctioning decisions were made, they were made to keep money flowing. In general I don't see that changing any time soon, and even if it did they could hold the fight in a location where either sanctioning isn't needed or they can pay them off.

^ All true - makes it hard sometimes for those of us who like to go a few amateur rounds (doing not watching) to explain ourselves in polite society, or to get the necessary visas.
[Huge apologies for thread-jack - in mitigation, now appreciating spiritual lift even more than before. Have a great Christmas everybody, of all faiths and none!]
