I spent much of the day undecorating Fall decorations and replacing them with Christmas, including a tree, at my wife’s school where she is an administrator. She always does this so students see them first thing when they return from the Thanksgiving holiday. When we finished, I stepped back and told her that that would make them smile. She said, “that’s why I do it”. I then told her to find me a kid who has no hope for gifts under the tree. We’ll anonymously make it happen. And that makes me smile knowing a child with no hope will have something on Christmas morning.
