Apparently, Camilla had Jack Russels embroidered in gold on her gown at the coronation! I wonder who has custody of the corgis now that their mistress in no longer? Charles and Camilla will not live in Buckingham Palace. Such a shame after millions of pounds spent upgrading it! Think of the cost of maintaining that monstrous edifice! Nobody but the staff living in it.

Actually, it’s increasingly used for tours of staterooms and paintings.

I was on one of the upper levels of the cafe tonight just tidying things getting ready for closing and looked out over the sea. It struck me how happy and lucky I am here and I struggle to think of anywhere else I would want to live.

Looks like a scene from Thunderbirds or a 50's sci-fi film but it's actually Darwen Tower.
About 10 miles away from our hausberg Rivington Pike is this one.
Combining the two on a mountain bike makes for a cracking day

You've spurred me to post a remarkable image of the Cuban legend Alberto Juantorena, nicknamed El Caballo, winning the 400m gold in the '76 Olympics in Montreal. He also won the 800m gold that year, and I believe remains the only runner to have achieved that double in an official Olympic Games.
