These are magazine ads for the Speedmaster Japan Racing 3570.40 from when it was released. They appeared on the back covers of the September 2004 issues of Coyote and STUDIOVOICE.

·Coyote is a magazine focused on art and design.
·STUDIOVOICE introduces Japanese culture from a unique perspective.

Hmm… I wonder if placing ads in these magazines was really effective.
Which audience were they actually trying to target with this? 🤔
Maybe they were aimed at people into design and culture, not just watch enthusiasts.That said, it seems the watch didn’t sell very well at the time—so maybe the marketing missed the mark. 😵
