This Ref 3594.50 Broad Arrow from around 1999-2000 was modded by Adam Lewis in 2021 into Racing Special spec with a complete overhaul on the movement, a case refinish, and with a new correct back and bracelet, identical to a Ref 3570.40. I wear it on a Genteel-Handmade charcoal grey Maya leather strap with orange stitching and Omega DP buckle. Just a different way to have the correct look on your wrist. It's NOT a real Japan Racing Special and not presented as such, but it's indistinguishable from a real one, especially if worn on the bracelet. Personally, I don't see the point of paying a premium for one of the 2004 sold in Japan when the only characteristic of this LE watch is the dial and hands, and since Omega freely sold the dial and hands for years afterward. Their business decision at the time, which they finally decided was not in their best interest after all. But it was/is an easy mod.

Gotta have something to keep the spark of interest alive. I bet moonSwatch owners don’t have this problem.

For what do we live, but to make sport for our neighbours, and laugh at them in our turn.

The serial number is the only way to distinguish between a franken and an OG one, with both looking exactly the same on the wrist. Some people just buy and wear the watch they like and others just store them in a safe... You get the point
