I'm wanting to buy a Albert chain for an omega pocket watch.

    Hi im new to the forum. I was wondering if anybody could give me their personal opinion please, on how much I should pay for an Albert chain in the early 1900 ?thanks in advance

    Generally they don''t seem to go for much more than their metal value, so it depends on the weight, the metal and (if gold) whether 9,10,14 or 18 carat.

    The one I've seen is 9.25 silver and Weight 69.9 grams.its also got the fob.

    Silver's 40p a gramme but a good Albert is nearer £1 a gramme then £15 for the fob. If you can get it for £65, you've got a deal. I have an Albo double Albert you can have for ... what's fair .... £20? if you want the look but don't want to spend the money.
