·A very famous plane in Norway because It used a base in Norway at the time one was shot down over The Soviet Union in 1960, And it was still often talked about in the RNOAF back in the 80`s when I did my service. Poor pilot, Gary Powers, was sentenced to 10 years inprisonment for espionage. Fortunatly he was excanged in 1962.

Wife bought me an hour in a real 737 sim for my birthday years ago and is was surprisingly easy to fly if the weather is good (and nothing goes wrong). I was left alone in the sim before the instructor had arrived and managed the startup checklist from APU through to engine start from memory. It was actually easier with real physical controls than clicking around with a mouse. Same goes for flying, way nicer being able to look around out the windows to gauge distance and turns.

·If I had the space and time I would love to find/replicate a link trainer. Link is probably better known for self playing banjos and orchestrions these days. The flight simulator was controlled by the same type of player piano rolls! Some of the perforated rolls did actually run in an endless loop.
