·Saw this auction a few weeks ago and did the "is that what I think it is?" routine. I'm not the best-versed guy on the planet, but "cal 3055 automatic, 27 jewels" just didn't sound quite right. And there was something about those pushers ...
So I decided to throw a bid at it, and got it for what I hoped was a bargain price.
It arrived today and it is indeed a 105.012-66. It has a service crown, the bezel is faded and the lume is gone from the hands. But the case has nice sharp lines, the dial is very good, and the short/fat pushers are fat-necked originals. The movement looks clean and shiny and dates to May 1967.
With the usual larcenous auction house fees, taxes, shipping, and whatnot, I'm into this one for about $5k. I think I can live with that.
