Burgundy SM 60 So Happy !!

I wanted to share my Happy ending story with you. I recently bought a 1969 Seamaster 60. The seller sent me photos of the watch and the backstory of his Dad giving it to him as a gift when new. Fast forward 55 years. He described it as not being worn after having it cleaned in only once in 1982, with the exception of special occations every couple of years. Now, I'm alsways reluctant to believe what people tell you when they're the seller, but I took a chance.
When I saw the photos, it was described as a burgundy face, aka Dial. The photos showed a dark blue or black bezel, and although not the best combination of colors, I bought it anyway based on it coming from the riginal owner.
The watch arrived today and I'm Giddy !!!! Burgundy Dial, Burgundy Bezel,Original signed crystal, and the Seamaster logo still retains much of its original dark background !! It arrived ticking happily 馃榾 I think it's a Keeper 馃榾
Although not the original bracelet, It's an original Omega 1444 馃榾
Now to convince my Rolex watchmaker to service only and not replace parts...

It is amazing. I could say I wasn't jealous, but I would be lying.

Very cool watch! I really do like the burgundy color and it looks great! I love these old watches that stood the test of time!
