I'm going to ban the word "Calatrava" from the Longines Forum.

I have a small quantity of genuine balaclavas not sure if longines... Very rare. Been to the moon. Worn by Steve McQueen. Designed by Nina Rindt. Crafted by George Genta. Close relation of a speedmaster.

McQueen wore a full out ski mask, not a balaclava. It was in the movie The Getaway.

No, a hybrid clone made from Gerald Genta's and George Daniels' DNA.
That would be this:

That snake is surely not in a bottle.

It appears to me as though it is about to cooked using the sous-vide method. 馃槻

Must we fear for the parrot and roach too??!!

Ah, but is the bird a parrot, a cockatiel, a parakeet, or all three?

Doesn't matter, as it will soon be pining for the fjords. 馃檨

Perhaps in a nice beurre blanc.::stirthepot::

I wish I had some Art Deco stuff to join in with, but the closest I have is a professional photo album of my grandparents' apartment in Italy from 1937 or so. I would love to have the desk lamp. We do have some of the Biedermeier furniture but it's not aged well.

Was that Zephyr clock modeled after the train?

For the sake of completness I should report that as I looked things up in Goldberger today, I had to laugh because every single flat, simple and elegant watch some have been tempted to call "baklava" (and just about every other squirrel name) is called, quite s卯mply "interessante orologio" -- namely "interesting watch".
So here we go.. Not just a "watch" mind you, but "Interesting watch" as a synonym. 馃榿

Better than "common and repellent", I suppose. ::rimshot::

Flipping through the Precious Watch Description to English phrasebook it says "Interesting = expensive"

Well, if it's in Goldberger, chances are it's expensive.

the snake was released after a period of observation..... lovely little thing really.

the bird lives happily in a room upstairs, except when there's crackers or popcorn out, then he turns into a real little bandit!

and the roach went on his merry way undisturbed..... he likely runs his own island now, somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico.

Another one for the OF dictionary of abused watch terms... And clearly on the rise.
If you want to see a Yema "Daytona", check it out on Chronotrader-- it doesnt have three registers, it's powered by a Valjoux 77xx, but at least it's tropical!

This thread needed an update.... this would look pretty good on @LouS's shelves. (although the dial looks a bit redone no?)
Sorry it's Omega but it fit here best. I'll double post it in the vintage Omega forum for good measure...
