·I've had my finger on the "bid" button without clicking more times than I can remember. The regret of missing out on a piece I would have liked to have owned, when it's my choice not to bid, passes pretty quickly.
The disappointment/anger of being outbid by a dealer/flipper who doesn't actually care about the watch lasts longer. When the auctioneer is referring to bidders by their first name, I take it as an inside-job and a sign to walk out.
