Seems that many people may have made a bad assumption regarding the "diss" of the Last Supper.......

It is not Leonardo da Vinci's "The Supper" which was reproduced at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, but
« The Feast of the Gods » by Jan van Bijlert.
At the center is not Jesus, but Apollo. The blue character is Dionysos.

Which would make perfect sense…for the Olympics. This is Biden’s fault!

Wait…this thread started with three people who couldn’t name Omega and now we are to believe the world would be able to make a connection to a painting by a guy named Biljert? It’s not Biden’s fault. Biden isn’t relevant anymore anyway. Shut up. (Now we’re getting this list crossed on off 😁).

Seeing an attack when there is none - a Christian tradition. 😀

I love parodies, like this one...

But when you see the original material, I can't help thinking it's a parody of a parody. 😕😕

I truly underestimated the lengths our fellow members would go to in getting a thread locked- this is inspirational.
And to @gatorcpa - I apologize for the push but the second I saw where this was going it was only a matter of time.

So back to the jeopardy scorecard:

I’ll take Russian spies and kinky cats for 500 Alex.

You should know there is no $500 question on Jeopardy. C'mom man !!

As one who still worships the Greek Gods, I found it a horrifying mockery. There were never any gay people in ancient Greece! ...I think. And the earth was flat back then, and the clouds were so strong the could support dozens of lounging gods.

And I understand why Christians would be offended when they mistakenly thought it was the last supper. That type of behavior is absolutely forbidden! ...unless you are a priest, pastor, etc. -- and then you are just 'confused'. 😁

Also willing to bet that almost everyone on that stage was once a practicing Catholic (the assumption being made as it is the predominant religion in France).

Maybe if they practice enough, they will eventually get good at it...

Clearly they failed since they chose to live their lives authentically for the world to see and not inflict their repression upon others.

How we doing on Kinky Tribek to bring it full circle- almost there folks!

And Hi Ash, how ya’ doin’? 😀

One of Monty Python's best audio bits ... it seems appropriate at this juncture.

IIRC there was a unit whereby same sex partners were (voluntarily) chained together when going into battle and lived or died together

yeah, its older than Christianity. But like most things, it's "do as I say not as I do" 😁 Which is the same way the Senators and Congresspeoples are here in the US. Oh, and these days you can also include the Supreme Court justices. Life really is a lot like a Monty Python movie 😎

Just curious, for historical purposes: who started the “cat” thing, and why?

And, by the way, given the length of this thread: anyone else concerned that our esteemed moderator @dsio may be ill?

I believe ‘Jeopardy’ has been running since 1964, so we have a way to go yet..,,,

I don't know, but there sure are a lot of great horned owl owners on this forum 😁
