If you would have only ONE Omega-watch—what would it be?

Railmaster 60th Anniversary Trilogy Edition. My first Railmaster was the 36mm 2504.52 with stainless steel bracelet. But I ended up selling it, and later regretting it. Almost impossible to find. Nevertheless, my mind was always on "What if Omega did a reissue or similar of the 1957 original Railmaster!?" I absolutely craved that watch, and had neither the funds nor the knowledge to get a vintage model. For a few years, I simply put it out of my mind. In 2017, when Omega announced the Trilogy series, I could not believe what I was seeing. For the very first time ever, a dream of mine actually came true. This is the one I would keep, if I was to have only one Omega. I love it on both the stainless steel bracelet, and the Omega leather strap which I came across at the Omega Boutique:

The Railmaster is such an iconic member of Omega history. The fact that it was first made actually for railroad use, and with antimagnetic properties, and now with the latest antimagnetic movement, is amazing tribute to the original alone. Not to mention the perfect replication in almost all details. Only the movement is updated and the crystal is sapphire instead of acrylic. Such a grand piece!

Cheers,
Carl

This the current model ? Looks a little lighter than when I saw it last.

I need to get a rubber strap, that looks cool.

This is indeed the latest version, and the original rubber makes it a bit more "organic" as the rubber strap also tapers (as the bracelet unfortunately doesn't).

If I could only have one Omega, but could have other watches, then I would go with my vintage Speedy - my favorite Omega and favorite watch period.

If I could only have one watch of any kind then I’d have to go with my Planet Ocean as I’d need the water resistance.

If the watches didn’t have to come from my current collection then sub in a step dial + applied logo Speedy or Liquid Metal Edition PO.
Can I ask what strap you have on your speedy, it looks great

If given only one choice I'd take my PO as it's a daily wear. But I'd still try and sneak in a vintage or two. My Connie has a now replaced my 1956 Seamaster as the watch for special occasions.

I am thinking that the Speedmaster Apollo 11, 50th Anniversary might be good for the only one Omega.
Even though the movement is not the most classical&iconic and even though the design seems to divide people:
It might be The Speedmaster and very important limited edition there is at the moment.
Seamaster 300 or Planet Ocean -collection might also be possible for the only one Omega..
What do you think?

Omega puts out so many limited editions that people seem jaded and stay away from them. If I were to only own one Speedmaster it would be a pre-moon Speedy, or at least a pre-1969 Speedmaster. Having said that, for practical purposes if I were to own only one watch and it was an Omega, it would have to fill many gaps so it would probably be an Aqua Terra GMT. The AT is truly a go anywhere watch. Sadly, it is currently 43mm. If they ever produce one in 38mm-40mm, I would seriously consider buying one.

Anyone say Speedymoon yet? I think that would cover all the bases, and with only one watch, you wouldn't have to worry about setting and adjusting it as if it were in a rotation.

Such a tough question...
-Wore my smp electric blue for 10+ years everyday
-2000 railmaster was amazing
- smp-c deep blue. I still miss this. This might be the one. Clean and slim. W a ceramic bezel that can take the abuse. I still look for this one now and then.
- PO 42mm ceramic bezel. takes a beating but wish it was slimmer. I do still wear this on a regular rotation. And my vacation watch
-hesalite moon least worn bc I find myself baby-ing the hesitate

Mine is easy. My 42mm titanium Planet Ocean. It’s the only Omega I own. 😉.

The Ti material, and enigmatic blue color, and clean lines (not dotted lines), combined with the newer METAS movement might have been a Submariner killer.
