If you had to predict a sleeping watch giant for 2020...what would it be?

At least there are always a few for sale though.
I couldn’t find any when I looked, my search kept referring me to every Zenith but a prime!

I’ve got an itching for another white faced chrono after selling my Panerai

I think they were rebranded as El Primero HW in the late 90s/early 2000s. You might have more luck with that phrase. Dials are similar, but a little busier than the Primes.

Ok bonus....

Hamilton Team Earth aka the Harrison Ford.
One small drawback it’s 43mm but it’s one hell of a great looking pilot with the big crown and the bonus fluted bezel. From 2010 and relatively unknown.

I like this watch a lot. Will you sell me yours or tell me where to get one as they seem to be sold out everywhere?

I’m looking too lol, I’m not sure how I ran into it but I fell in love. The “tutima” style bezel and onion crown sell it for me.

Maybe the Benrus Dial-o-Rama is primed for a huge comeback and spike in price, maybe even hitting 3............hundred?

And don’t start flooding my inbox with PMs, it is not for sale. 😁

I think Yema/Lejour is coming on strong. Those vintage Superman’s are pretty nice

I have the feeling that some Heuer collectors shifted to Enicar and their Sherpa Graph chronograph line up since it has a similar racing heritage to a more affordable price. I also get more questions about them through my page (enicar101.com 😁 ).

I hope they are still sleepers in 2019 since I don’t have all the watches I am looking for. But with a book on the horizon (enicar.org) and the shifting of some collectors we will see.

There is one in WUS currently, try searching for "zenith prime" on watchrecon and it is there😉

Usually Rolex & Sleeper don’t go in the same sentence, but I feel like this one is the best value Rolex you can buy today. They are on a steady rise, but it will be a big hit in 2019 I think.

I have just acquired this example, so I put my money where my mouth is (oh, and if you can find an example with a nice patina, you should buy it)

So my vote goes to the Rolex 16570, especially the polar tritium dials.

@JimJupiter - sorry but I have to disagree. I love the look of the Sherpa Graph, but I personally think they are overvalued already with some asking well north of $8k

Personally I think it's going to be the military Type 20's. The Breguet being the exception as it's already out of the range of a lot of collectors.

I had a Dodane which I sold to fund a Speedmaster purchase, and I regret that watch. It's a very attractive package, and exceptional value for its price point.
As a side note, I feel like the Heuer Bund is a great value watch, even though it has a more difficult market due to the fact that many have been restored...

Would agree on the Type 20 and 21. especially since there are some super rare issued watches of the CEV,... like These 😉

I was reflecting back on this post. And wondered if there was an obvious winner?

I think @MaiLollo hit the mark 16570 Polar Dials have gone from Rolex Zero to Hero this year - Steel Sports Rolex shortage plus a lot of Watch media coverage (James Stacey and Fratello etc) have sent the prices rapidly north.
