Does this watch perhaps belong in the Watches With Unreasonably High Price Expectation thread? It doesn't do it for me, but it would be interesting to know where the price (and the watch) eventually ends up!

Is this price this high because of the original box and papers and the claimed known provenance?

Or are we now paying a Christies bump? There are several of these for sale right now.

Is this the most expensive Val. 773x yet?

The most expensive I've seen. NO matter how beautiful the watch (and this one is beautiful!) I just can't bring myself to begin to consider shelling out that kind of money for such a second rate piece of machinery.

Agree. There's a beautiful Patek or Lange I could find, should I ever throw down in that cash range.
