Identifying a Vintage Quartz Seamaster

Hi everyone,
Hope all is well.

Need your help in identifying and possibly valuing a mid 80's gold-plated Omega Seamaster Quartz I found in an old box my grandparents were storing.

Now I know that quartz cheapens the watch greatly, but the watch was a present from the Qaddafi administration of Libya in the 1980's, and bears the seal of the Sirte Oil Company as a result. That makes it somewhat rare, and the connection to such a controversial figure might increase it's collector's value.

Preliminary research show that the model number is 46149485. The only model I was able to find online was from 1984.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

You'll need to pop it open and get some inside pictures. Otherwise any info will be pure speculation, unless somebody with exactly the same watch comes along.

As for the provenance, if it can be verified as a present from Kadaffi himself, it might increase value for some odd collector, but I doubt it.

Yes a movement picture is in order. Unfortunately it's one of the many nondescript quartz watches produced by Omega in the 80s that no one (so far) has shown any interest in, even Marco Richon in the Journey Through Time epic book!

Unless it can be actually documented that it was a gift from Kadaffi, it's just another quartz watch with a company logo on the dial. And IMHO I doubt the Kadaffi connection would even mean much if anything.
