    Hello all,

I have typically worn modern omegas for a while and currently a planet ocean chronograph 9300. I walked into an old antique store the other day and saw this beautiful old gold omega chronograph and what made it unusual was that it was bigger than a standard 50's seamaster case. Shop wanted $4,500 which I highly doubt it's worth. Any help on identifying this model would be greatly appreciated. I posted a main photo of it and it's the one on the left in the picture with three. Thanks.

Looks like a 1950's 321 based chronograph with a refinished dial. Value is less than 1/2 what the shop wanted, IMO.

Yea not worth that much, its the square pusher version of the Seamasters of that era and that's most likely why the dial was redone, they have zero water resistance and aren't even dust proof.

It'll be similar to this from AJTT worth about half what he's asking at most.

He wanted $5,000 for the speed master saying it was a pretty space model or something like that.

The place is in Manhattan in the east 70's. Been there fkr years. it's a tiny antique store one level down from street jam packed with antiques and stuff. One narrow space that two people can't pass each other without turning sideways. A ton of junky watches some nicer

Was I wrong that the case seems larger than a non chrono seamaster, I don't even recall seeing seamaster chronos like these before. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what is ajtt?

There are larger ones too, that's just an example of one of the smaller sized non-Seamasters, AJTT is A Journey Through Time, a reference book on Omega. There are also a pile of these larger sized gold non-Seamasters in South American markets produced by Lemania for Omega.

Thank you. I'm definitely interested in finding the largest chrono of that variety and for the first time possibly gold. That one just looked so nice. Any suggestions on what the largest case size variety of that vintage I might consider searching for. I believe a friend is taking me to a local watch show in NY in May.
