Here is the link to the album: http://imgur.com/a/wD1HP

I saw this at a flee market and hesitated on buying it until figuring out more. Does anyone know which reference number this is? I think it has either a Circa 285 or 286 movement.

The font doesn't look correct to me.
hoipolloi would have much more experience then I would but I would agree the dial does look refinished.

Do you know a reference number? He said it's from the 1950's.

Also the photos don't really show the patina, but the dial didn't look like it was touched in person.

The dial has been refinished, as can be seen on the logo font.

It is almost certainly a movement of the 30mm family, I believe most of these were known as "Seamaster 30". Here's a post on OF with one that has the same type of linen dial that yours have: https://omegaforums.net/threads/1962-seamaster-30-cal-269-linen-dial.15132/

Btw, in your first post here, it would be nice to see some sort of introduction before launching into requests on authenticity - this is a community of enthusiasts, not a search engine. We do welcome like-minded individuals, though 😀

The most obvious tell is the vertical bar of the E in OMEGA. It's centred directly beneath the Ω.
Due to font kerning, the correct position would have the vertical bar slightly to the left of centre.
