Hi, recently due to my desperation (1 year plus) to replace my pie pan 564 for Case Ref 168.005, I made the mistake to purchase a wrong Pie Pan Dial :(. Due to the seller not being able to provide much information, I have come to this forum for guidance and help.

I might be selling this and would like to provide an accurate description when selling this or maybe source for a watch with a bad dial and keep it.

Please review the following pictures and really appreciate all the help I can get here:

What comes in mind when I look at this dial is that is fails MOY and the n's in constellation seems identical. So I'm a bit concerned. But let's see what others will have to say...

Thanks for the input. Do you by any chance know which cal will this fit in?

Me too. The missing lume is one thing, but the finish on the outer part of the dial makes me back off. I wouldn't be surprised to see that it was a complete fabrication.

interestingly, the lettering is quite well done -but lacking serifs
the finish on the facets caught my eye too
the edges of the facets look inconsistent
also the finish on the back of the dial is unusual
space for lume but no Ts

might this be a later service dial?

Great to know that it has been covered...will do a search regarding that topic.
Regarding the dial post and their position, I believe they are positioned differently across Omega's cal movement...how can I idetify which cal will be compatible wit this...

Two big red flags that make me conclude the dial has been refinished, one are the off color circular patches on the back side around where the figure rivets come through, this is super glue which is used to hold the figures on after being removed for refinishing, very common on refinished dials. Second are the letters/numbers scratched on the back side, these are typical for a refinisher and used to identify the dials owner and what finish is to be done.

I guess we have concluded that this is a redial :(....anyway tried searching the forum last couple of hours to see which cal this dial will fit...no luck.
Really2 appreciate all your inputs, and really wish someone here can point me to the thread on dial Size or cal where this particular dial will fit in.
I guess I am gonna sell this, but with the correct information so the the next owner will know what he/she is getting. It is a pain to get something and not getting the right information from the seller.

Based on the placement of the dial feet it looks like its for a caliber 561/564.

But the original one I have are raised...BTW mine was fitted in a 168.005.
Is there any chance that this dial is for a 504? My 504 roughly (eyeball) have the same size dial...but as I have no expertise in opening up the case and taking apart the movement, I am not sure if the dial feet matches.

Did some searching and I saw some cal 561 case ref 14393 using this dial. Hopefully this is the right one.

I searched for the thread I referred to but couldn’t find it.
Although they both used 561s the 14393 and 168.005 are different case sizes - so you can’t assume the dials are interchangeable.

A dial that fits on a 564 will fit on a 561 or 551. But they are not interchangeable among different cases.
For example, a dial fits on a 561 case 168.005 won't into a 14393 because the ID of 14393 case is smaller than 168.005.

    ID : inside diameter.

    Thanks everyone for the inputs.

I think I will just state the size of the dial and the movement when I advertise it...Hopefully thats enough and the buyer will know what he/she is buying. Would like to provide more information but then I am stuck.

Yes, my old dial 168.005 was bigger by around 2mm and has an outer ring on the bottom of the dial.
