Dear friends please i need your help once more to identify an old gold 18k Omega.I would like to know if it s a rare piece or not.
Its very early, definitely solid gold, and probably porcelain dial, made around 1916/1917. Less common than steel or silver, but not rare, they made a lot of pocket watches, and they're not in high demand.
Pay no attention to me but I would still like to ask whether or not this should note Omega on the face? I've not seen any without it but granted, I'm no expert.
It would be worth about gold weight (this is the weight of the gold, so minus the movement, dial, and crystal) maybe a hair more than that as a complete watch but that's about it I'm afraid, its just that so many of these were made, and so many still survive, while nobody carries pocket watches anymore.
