Hi, this seems to be an original pie-pan Constellation around 1960. Gold-capped (60 microns) and with onyx-inlays. Congrats: a beauty!
Exact date can be checked by looking at the movement-number inside.
Price depends on condition, condition, condition and originality.
If I see this on a flea-market in Europe I would pay 500... 600 Euros without negociation ( as mentioned: if original and with controlling the movement) . But: "golden" watches are not to everyone's taste.....
O odjensenYeah, ofc that makes sense. I want to give up a sum up of the situation I am in. I have sent the watch to a watchmaker. He said that the watch runs slow (I do not know if I am writing that right, but it is losing time). He has offered me a deal for a complete service of the watch for 710€. I am right now trying to find out if it's worth paying the price. I would hate to pay the price for a watch that's worth half the price. Sorry it's much to ask, but is it a bit pricey or worth going for?
710 Euro seems high, but I haven't seen the movement....did he say what he was going to do?
Where are you located?
try google lens with the clipping of the watch itself
O odjensenThis is the text i got in the mail ( Translated from danish, sorry for any incorrect translations )
/Service
/Replacement of worn parts.
/New original glass.
/New original crown.
/New gasket.
Seems reasonable, so he must have a Omega Parts Account, make sure of that.
Now, it is up to you to decide if the service is worth the price, you'll be upside down if you ever try to sell it, and most watch collectors would rather buy AND THEN have their WM do the servicing.
And......80-90% of the value is in the dial and case condition, and it appears the dial is repainted, and the case is well worn.
Plus, the new service crown will be twice the thickness of that original crown, further hindering the value.
