This auction ended almost 48 hours ago. Is it already yours and now you are having second thoughts? I know I would, but I am not an expert. One should be along very soon. Oh, and also, as a new member, begging for help.......let me advice you nicely, cuz others won't......a please and a thank you go a long way on here with those experts.

Please post pictures rather than a link as once the link expires the thread is useless.

The watch has a lot of issues. The case is over polished, all the hands are incorrect and it's been redialled.

Mind if I ask how one can discern an over polished case? Not trying to derail the thread, just trying to learn here. Thanks.

If it looks like an open-faced cheese sandwich emerging from a toaster...

In the pictures (particularly pic 3) you can see there are no sharp edges left. The case is polished smooth. Compare to other examples of the same reference.

If you by authentic mean its a watch made by Omega, then yes it was. But a lot has been changed to it since it left the factory as @Davidt writes.

    Jesus Christ

“Any help would be greatly appreciated.”

    Isn’t enough?

Does OF need a reach around from new posters now?

If you did purchase it you should send it back.

Over polished case, redial, wrong hands, wrong crown, bodgie case tab and the movement has been abused..

And where I come from, a Caliber 611 is a date movement.

A real Franken or a parts watch, a pig with lipstick.

Looks good, some issues but if you like it enjoy it. If your new to the vintage game
Research is king in this game.

You have paid some newbie tax but you will learn over time.

Man you guys don't hold back. I'm a little miffed I overpaid and would have preferred to get an original watch but I do still like the look of it. Next time I'll wait to hear from you before I purchase. Oh and one more thing, PLEASE AND THANK YOU ALL!
