Brilliant idea.... a solid gold watch thats completely obsolete in about three years so it'll only be worth its value in melted down gold.

So you're left with a $2000 fish weight and they're ahead 13 large.....

    Gotta hand it to 'em!

Same as the jeweled/gold mobile phones of a couple years ago. All at the smelter.

The Apple Protection Plan will ensure you get future updates on all hardware modules and associated software... so your gold case don't go to waste......

Don't plan on ever owning one. Too much planned obsolescence.

I don't see how anyone would want to dish out 15 big ones for an apple watch in gold. I can see however how someone would want to purchase an apple watch for that kind of money I would buy and apple watch and a DSOTM and still have some left over to buy maybe a used speedy or seamster.

They wouldn't be made if there wasn't a market. The market just happens to be people who view 15k as pocket change.

These are the same people who continue to spend the same and more on Vertu phones and other similar goods. I don't think many of them hang out on forums like this though ;)

You say 3 years until obsolete, but Apple is good at making you feel like whatever you buy is obsolete in 12 months when they add a few features and updates. I love all things apple but have no use for one of these at this time, maybe one day.
