@Darcy, your watch is very valuable but has so incorrect components. As we sometimes have scammers come here with only stolen pics. Could you please post a pic of the watch set to 4:40?

Well this is going to be fun.

So do you want to keep or sell?

If you want to sell, you just walked into a monkey whorehouse with a box full of bananas...

And the same if you want to keep

Of all the pictures I've seen online I never saw one with the back was without engraving, my father was a very interesting man he may have even one time worked for Omega but nobody really knows...his history is and will remain a mystery. I do know he spent considerable time in Switzerland and Germany but his heritage is English

The watch is a Omega Speedmaster 2998-5 with what appears to be an excellent dial, hands and bezel. The caseback (105.004-64) is incorrect as it is from a later watch. Of less importance, the bracelet is incorrect for the watch and has 2 different kinds of end links. It is quite a find!

    Edit: circa 1962

Are you saying it is a 105.004 but the case back shows 105.003?

The 1962 makes sense I spoke with his wife and she thought he bought it in 1962
