Well well well.
Back to the bracelet.
The first photo is the one I bought in Vietnam.
The second one was bought on eBay, American seller.

So both would be considered authentic?

The OP

it has the same 'G' as @hoipolloi 'American' one

The 'Vietnam Special' looks different

Engravings in the genuine ones seem thinner, deeper and more precise on those pictures

The one I bought from Vietnam is not.
They had hundred of them for sale, brand new with wrapping from factory. Price is about $10 usd each.

I am not so sure about yours. Sorry.

I think the OP’s is real- the Vietnam special and the OP’s are no where near the same. And here is mine again just for comparison

Just want to share mine for comparison
This is what the buyer was expecting- with the 1037 and 12 markings. But there were variations on the theme. What I don’t understand is how this buyer did not see the differences and thus- not bid!🤨

I’ve heard about this- I think they are going to see a mass exodus of private sellers. eBay will look like Amazon is short order.
I’ve said it in another thread- someone much smarter than I needs to create an alternative to eBay- with the same protections and recourse on both sides as eBay had until around 2010....maybe even get PayPal involved since they are now no longer affiliated.
I’ll take that a step further for you. Ebay does NOT want private sellers. My son used to work for a crowd who sold online selling/listing platforms and he told me then (5 years ago) that it was ebay policy to drive private sellers out. They’re not interested in the commission on your pissy little $500 sale. They’re after volume.
Which is why the same company created gumtree.

On the cost of international shipping, I just posted a watch on eBay, and there now is a eBay international shipping option and the price was very reasonable. It was 30% of USPS. Return shipping may not be that bad. It is worth a look.

if it’s the eBay global shipping program, their conditions are awful for the buyer. For example, when importing to Europe from the Us, it takes much longer than usps and the custom fees they take are much higher than the regular ones

They did not creat Gumtree, they bought it
It had been around for years before that.

It’s true though - eBay values business sellers much more than private individuals. Less so now as she’s semi retired but my mum does a lot of her business via eBay. She has a direct number to customer care who’ll remove negative feedback as long as she has a valid explanation and (shock horror) has even been known to take her side over the buyers.

I appreciate all the kind replies and support/suggestions. I feel better no matter what!
Here’s a pic of a Constellation I sold a little while back...wondering how it got such an outrageous patina? Smoker? Location? Is this a turn-off or desirable feature?
turn off for me but some people like a patina and see it as desirable certainly this one is full on patina

I’ve got this too but I’m not a business.

On ebay the buyer has to offer absolutely no proof the item is fake. None, Nada, Nil. Open dispute as item not as described and seller has to eat it.

Well, not within the past 6 months but I have stood my ground successfully more than once. The last buyer actually responded with "Sorry mate, I couldn't resist trying it on, you know how it goes."

Just ask him for an estimate of what shipping would be from India to you. maybe you can split it, or just absorb it and hope you can sell the bracelet for more once received back. He can always give you a receipt once he ships. Right or wrong it is his right according to Ebay to return.

I'm just bumping this because I'd like to see if this thread about a routine eBay transaction can go to five pages. ::stirthepot::

The transaction was routine but the Machiavellian treatment of sellers by eBay is appalling.
Now, does that get us to 5 pages? ::psy::
