Because it would take a true sucker to fall for these - they "appraise" a 1966 with a myriad of replaced parts at $35,000 being sold for the bargain price of $16,900.

Additionally they have a 1971 Speedy with the wrong bracelet for the bargain price of $9,900:

But the real crown jewel of batshit pricing has to be this 1976 speedy which at least seems to have all the right parts, that they "appraised" at $25,000 and are listing for $16,900 BIN. Looks like it's time for my '76 to go up on the bay!

Maybe they are following the new speedmaster101 price chart for "Excellent"? :D

And then some! On a different note I'm sure it's just an oversight but -76 is missing from the new price chart entirely @Spacefruit ?

They probably mixed up some numbers, can happen especially when there are so many zeros involved.:whistling:

Gee take a guess why someone would act as if they were in the high end watch trade and list watches with fantasy prices like that.

What's the deal with the case-back on the first one? Is it a service part? No "67", "HF" or "CB". I guess there are a lot of variations, but it look unusual to me. Also strange that different dustcovers are shown in different photos.

It's the same (wrong) dustcover in both photos. One shows the outside, the other shows the inside.
But everyone is missing why the asking prices are so high. All three watches are unique one-offs with scratch resistant sapphire crystals instead of the usual hesalite.

Yes, now that I look more closely I can see it's the same dustcover from different sides. Service part, as you noted.

I like how the seller tries to link the appraisal with the CoA in the listing title. Okay, I actually don't like it....
