I am reading a crime thriller by Jo Nesbo and came across this paragraph in the book and made me smile. Screenshot_20210127-221615_Google Play Books.jpg

My question still remains, what screw down crown? I fear I don't have any Speedmaster Moonwatch with screw-down crown... Or was he referring to Daytona......

I'm about 6 books in the 'Harry Hole' series by Nesbo, and watches do appear often, Rolex has been mentioned, but was later found out to be a Lange that had Rolex 'aftermarket' put on the dial to hide it's value. Seiko has been mentioned also.

Always enjoy titbits like this especially if accurate. Read many of crime/ police books, one mentioned Panerai, another CWC (ex SAS), obviously Bond, another book based on Ian Fleming having a bond like story and wearing an earlier Radiomir.

"The Thirst" :) I am not a big fan of Jo Nesbo writing style but indeed this part made me chuckle:thumbsup:.
