Hello, I was just trying to adjust my bracelet, when I accidentally dropped one of the screws that holds the pin in. Needless to say, it’s long gone. Does anyone know if I can get one at an AD or is my only choice to look for some on eBay. It’s a 45.5 planet ocean if that helps. Thanks image.jpg

I would stop by an authorized dealer they usually have spare parts especially if you have a relationship with them. I would not look on ebay because unless you know the exact part number you could get screwed.

Pun intended?? I don’t have a relationship with the AD but I guess it’s worth a shot. Do you think it’s a bad idea to wear it without one screw?

Are you near an OB? They will replace for free.

I will be near an OB next week, but does it matter if I didn’t buy the watch from them? This boutique is also a small one in a casino so I don’t know how much they actually do, but I’ll probably wait to try there, thanks

BTW, from the look of some of those other screw heads, you really need to invest in a good, properly-sized, screwdriver.

Yeah admittedly some of that was me. However they were pretty rotten before I took a screwdriver to them

Are your wrists really so big that you can't steal a screw from a spare link that you took out before?

Maybe find a big magnet and sweep the floor with it to snag the screw? Also, buy some spare screws and pins for next time?

I munged a couple myself before I took it to my local AD, then found the right tool on Amazon. Not expensive, and it makes the job SO much easier.

No my wrists aren’t that big, the original owner lost a few of the links. I actually did try a magnet, but unfortunately I was in a robotics lab (they had the right screwdriver). I picked up everything but the screws... you wouldn’t believe how much metal is on that floor. It’s pretty crazy

Just wanted to post an update. The omega boutique in the casino doesn’t do anything like this, but I did find an AD that had a few screws. I bought 4 for $25. Still pricey, but definitely better than some of the prices I saw online. Now I can finally wear my newest addition. Thanks for the help image.jpg

Since I was there, I had the AD screw it on and I guess I just assumed they put some in. Maybe that was a bad assumption.... I’ll probably pick some up later

Blue Loctite may be fine, I don't know. I believe Rolex has long supplied (and/or advised the supply of) Loctite 222 (formerly 221) to repair centers and AD's – it's the lowest available strength of Loctite.

Certainly do not use anything that creates a bond so strong it can't easily be undone with a hand tool.

Do not feel bad. I did this to a screw in a case back, on a lesser watch. Fray speckled carpet. Gave up after 90 minutes of crawling....
