I just bought a 2254

I have been wanting a 2254 black dial for many years now. I have gotten close several times, but each time I put the brakes on, thinking I might get a modern Seamaster 300, and I wouldn't want both. Well, I reminded myself that I don't love skeleton sword hands, so I took the plunge today and ordered a 2254 from an online retailer. I am really looking forward to it.

I'll make sure to post photos once it arrives!

Congratulations. I've said this before and I'll say it again, it's one of my favorite Omega designs and when I was first looking at purchasing my first Omega, it was very nearly a 2254.

Mine is on loan for the time being to a friend as I enjoy my honeymoon period with a newly acquired Tudor Pelagos 39.

Great watch and almost hard to call underrated now given how much love it deservedly gets.

Those are some great examples! Thanks for posting.

Mine will arrive next week, but I'll be out of town, so it will be 10 days or so before I have it in my hands. As Tom Petty said, The Waiting is the Hardest Part!

The blue sheep of the family says hello.
I've been slightly obsessed with mesh bracelets lately so cool to see this. I imagine a mesh on a 2254 will look cool as well

Hello!
Love this one!

I got a little bad news from the ebay seller. He sent the wrong watch to the authenticator. He said he'll ship my watch once he gets the first one back from the ebay service.

They will ship the right watch once they get the wrong watch that they shipped incorrectly back? Why...the delay? Was it your fault that the wrong watch was shipped? Is there some doubt that they will receive the other watch back? Is it your fault if they don't receive the other watch back? Why does the other watch have anything to do with the correct watch?

What are they doing to make this right?

It sounds like some weird policy their company has. They are in Japan, and I don't know if this is a business norm over there or not. I think it's pretty lousy. I asked them to send the watch now, since they already have my money.

The one thing they are going to do to make it right is they have agreed to refund me the import duties paid on the first watch. That's a nice thing, because as far as I know, it's impossible to get those fees refunded. Of course, that's just a promise right now, but I hope they follow through with it.

While you wait, here's my old one. I foolishly gave it to my bro-in-law. I'm thinking he will give it back to me at some point:

Hello from my 2265.80

It spends its days in the watch box since I got my 75th Anniversary SMP in July. I need to move it along but I keep changing my mind.

Congratulations!
I bought the blue one yesterday at a very good price. I ve had the black dial before, but I鈥檓 definitely enjoying more the unusual blue dial: changes a lot with the light.

Amazing how it matches your sweater.
