Perhaps you can't kill a listing so close to the end of the auction??

..may or may not work. Ebay doesn't have a clue about finer points of what constitutes a true, correct vintage sm300, e.g.
Customer service member Ganesh from Hyderabad will look at the dial, case back and movement pics, see it says 'omega' on them, and that will be good enough for them...

I agree with what you are stating - no need bring a name or location into the discussion of the uselessness of ebay personnel. But the sentiment regarding Ebay support is absolutely true. I recently had them delete one of my auctions AFTER IT HAD CLOSED AND THE BUYER HAD PAID because I had used the term "Not ST-70" in a description of a Dynakit MKIV - the auction was deleted because of "brand name misuse". I called them and the discussion was maddening to say the least, since a MKIV is essentially half of an ST70. What it came down to is that I should have not used the word "not", and everything would have been okay. I was told that I was free to re-list it correctly and I again had to make the point that the auction was closed, and the buyer had paid. And they still charged me final value fees even though they made it very difficult on me and the buyer. Luckily he was a great guy whom I had a lot of on the phone communication with.
